LotWarden did not start as a product. It started as the tool one person wanted at the door of a working pathology laboratory, where deliveries were typed into logs by hand and the register was checked from memory.
The receiving bench is where the record starts. Every reagent, calibrator and control enters through it, and every assessment traces back to what was written there. It is also the least automated place in the laboratory, because the systems that could help all want the data to leave the building.
LotWarden was designed and developed independently by its author, in the author's own time, to work the way the bench actually works: one PC, no network, the laboratory's own controlled workbooks, and a person confirming every quantity before it is written. Personal IP is used under licence, with a complete version-controlled history behind every release.
What we believe
Nothing is guessed. A value the reader cannot recover is left blank for a person, never invented. Nothing leaves the machine. Offline is enforced at socket level, not promised in a policy. Everything is provable. Every claim on this site has a check that demonstrates it on the machine in front of you.
The name
A warden keeps custody. LotWarden keeps custody of every lot from the moment it arrives: where it came from, whether it was accepted, when it went into use, and who did each of those things. Custody, compliance, confidentiality.
